A chord library built for playing, not scrolling

What you get on every song

• Chords above the lyrics. Each chord is positioned over the word it is played on, so you can read the change coming instead of guessing where it falls.
• Diagrams for the shapes in the song. Every chord used is drawn out with finger positions, muted and open strings marked, and barres shown as a bar. Shapes above the fourth fret are drawn as a movable window with the starting fret labelled.
• Transpose in one tap. Move the whole sheet up or down a semitone at a time. Chord names and diagrams both follow, so a song written out of your range becomes playable without rewriting anything.
• Capo and strumming up front. The capo position, strumming pattern and key are listed before the lyrics rather than buried in a comment.
• Autoscroll and font size. Set a scroll speed and play hands-free, or size the text so it is readable from wherever your phone or tablet is propped.
• Print and practise offline. Every sheet prints cleanly without the navigation, sidebar or comments.

Accuracy and corrections

Chord sheets are transcriptions, and transcriptions disagree. Where a voicing is ambiguous we favour the shape most players actually use over the one that is theoretically tidiest. If a chord looks wrong to you, leave a comment on the song — the rating and comment thread on each sheet is how corrections reach us, and it is worth more than a silent five stars.

Sources and rights

Songs in the library record where they came from and on what basis they are published. Lyrics and compositions belong to their writers and publishers; SenseChord provides chord transcriptions for private study and practice. If you hold rights to a song and want a sheet amended or taken down, get in touch and we will act on it.

Accounts

You can browse and play from the entire library without an account. An account only adds the things that need somewhere to be saved: favourites, a playlist, ratings and comments. What we store and why is set out in the privacy policy.
